Many Life Lessons to Ponder!

~ Some people are like blisters. They
don't show up until the real work is done! ~ Be careful what rut you
choose to fall into. You may be in it the rest of your life. ~ Your
conscience may not keep you from doing wrong, but it sure keeps you from
enjoying it! ~ Money doesn't bring you happiness, but it enables you
to look for it in more places. ~ Middle-age is when broadness of the
mind and narrowness of the
waist exchange places. ~ The real reason you can't take it with you
is that it goes before you do. ~ Misers aren't much fun to live with,
but they make great ancestors! ~ Opportunities always look bigger
going than coming. ~ If you never know
where you're going, you can never get lost. ~ A true friend is one
that lets his grass grow as tall as his neighbor's. ~ A person who can
smile when things go wrong has found someone to blame it on.
~ Money isn't everything... there's credit cards, money orders, and
travelers checks. ~ A
baby-sitter is a teenager acting like an adult while the adults are out
acting like teenagers. ~ Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables
you to immediately recognize a mistake when you make that exact same
mistake again.

Chummy With the Boss

Sara Walker was an employee at a clothing store
in Columbus, Ohio. She had only been working there for two weeks, but
already she felt that she knew the manager well enough to joke around
with him. So on April 1, 2003 she called him up at his home and told him
that armed men were robbing the store. The manager immediately called
the police, who promptly dispatched four cruisers. Minutes later
Walker phoned the manager again and screamed 'April Fools'. When the
police arrived moments later they weren't amused and charged her with
inducing a panic. Walker's manager fired her

An attractive young thing met her maiden aunt
downtown for lunch one afternoon and during the meal, the older woman
asked her niece to deposit a paycheck for her at the bank where she
worked. On her way back from work, the girl was accosted by a purse
snatcher! "Help, help," she screamed at a passing cop. "That man has
taken my aunt's pay - he's taken my aunt's pay!" "OK, lady," said the
cop. "Cut out the pig latin and tell me exactly what happened.".
