JOKE OF THE DAY 29 Jan 2010

Trimming Home Budget

Mother had decided to trim her household budget
wherever possible, so instead of having a dress dry-cleaned she washed
it by hand. Proud of her thrift and consequent savings, she boasted
to father, "Just think, Fred, we are ten dollars richer because I washed
this dress by hand!" "Good," my dad quickly replied. "Wash it again!"

JOKE OF THE DAY 28 Jan 2009

True Story of a Toastmaster

Our son recently married a woman from
Russia. During the reception, Russian and American guests proposed
toasts... As someone translated, my sister-in-law said: "To good
health, good fortune. Go forth and multiply." I couldn't help noticing
that some of the guests looked confused. We found out later that the
toast had been translated as: "To good health, good fortune. Go and do
math."

JOKE OF THE DAY 25 Jan 2010

The Ideal Woman

In an American history discussion group, the professor
was trying to explain how society's ideal of beauty changes with time.
"For example, he said, "take the 1921 Miss America. She stood five feet,
one inch tall, weighed 108 pounds and had measurements of 30-25-32. How
do you think she'd do in today's version of the contest?" The class
fell silent for a moment. Then one student piped up, "Not very well."
"Why is that?" Asked the professor. "For one thing," the student
pointed out, "She'd be nearly a hundred and ten years old."
