Making An Impression

 

A young composer was thrilled and
more than slightly flattered when he learned that Beethoven would attend
a performance of his new opera... He was still more delighted when
Beethoven approached him after the
performance... He awaited the master's judgment with considerable
anticipation. "I like your opera very much," said Beethoven. "In fact,
I think I shall set it to music one day."
